We snuck away to the ocean for a few days because my husband had an appearance at a local football camp. Due to the fact that our family gets so little time off during the year, we try to make the most out of the time that we do have– read*, we tag along to everything that he has to do to soak up every single second of family time that we can get. Anybody that knows Rico knows that there are very very few days that pass that he isn’t up before the sun, on his way to workout– no matter where in the world we find ourselves, he WILL find a place to train, and this specific morning wasn’t any different. As soon as Luca woke up, he and I made our way to find an iced coffee and then we found our way down to the ocean for a bit before the day of camps and appearances began.
It has been truly amazing watching my son’s love for the beach and ocean develop. Anybody that knows me, knows that the beach is my happy place– there is something about that massive body of water that just calms my soul. Watching him run his little body back and forth from the sea foam off the waves to my side was pretty much one of those moments that i’ll save in my mind & heart, forever.
