It’s the week of love; if you are in love this is a beautiful, magical holiday and if you aren’t, you just want all the Hallmark commercials to be over with. I feel you. I have been in both situations on Valentine’s Day and I remember them distinctly. I remember
My point in sharing these two situations is this: even if you haven’t found the love of your life that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a great Valentine’s Day. The reality is that just because the kind of love that you’re desiring isn’t currently in your life doesn’t mean that there is no love in your life. We all have people in our lives that we love and that love us right back. Instead of focusing on the love that you’re lacking try focusing on all of those who love you and that you love.
Also, making this Valentine’s Day memorable doesn’t have to cost a ton of money. Write a card to someone you love. Drop off a Starbucks to someone who isn’t expecting it. Have a pajama, wine and movie night with your girlfriends. Pick up a bouquet of flowers on your way home from work for your spouse. Cook him his favorite meal (even if you have no idea what you are doing– it’s the thought and the act that counts
P.S. You didn’t hear it from me, but Amazon has an entire “Sexual Wellness” section that has lot’s of fun things 🙂 and with a prime membership you are guaranteed next day or two-day shipping which means if you order tonight you are more than prepared for Valentine’s night.
love you, mean it. xo, G
