Montessori At Home With Monti Kids.

July 28, 2019

This article is sponsored by Monti Kids; we received our at home curriculum as a gift, yet all opinions & reviews are strictly my own.

I receive quite a few questions about why we chose to introduce the Montessori method to our children and I am hoping that this blog post helps to answer some of those questions! As always, if there is anything that you want to know, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or message me on Instagram!

Why Montessori?

The early years of a child’s life are a critical time to set a strong foundation for who a child will become, and the role that he or she will play in the future. Montessori is an educational approach that has been used for over 100 years and trusted by schools all around the world. It is an ideal educational method for young children that involves a series of toys designed to meet their developmental needs. It addresses the child’s cognitive, physical, linguistic, social and emotional development. Children learn through play, so it is our job to provide them with an environment rich in opportunity that supports their natural drive to learn through playing. Studies have shown that when educational activities incorporate movement, learners not only gain a better understanding of the material, but they also remember the content more accurately. Montessori is all about creativity— fun fact, some of the greatest innovators of today, like the founders of Google & Amazon, attended Montessori preschool! Independence is also taught through the Montessori method, and research has proven that children who have more independence have been shown to work harder, perform better, and retain more information.

It seems to me that in today’s world the “best” way to educate is constantly changing. One year something is trending and the next year it’s onto something else. Another reason that I love the Montessori method is because it has been put through the test of time— over 110years!

Why Monti Kids?

I obviously love the Montessori method and up until a few months ago I had no idea that I could easily incorporate this into our daily life. Monti Kids is an at home Montessori curriculum that grows with your child starting as early as 0 months old, and progressing through 36 months of age. Their curriculum is broken down into levels. Each level is designed to meet your child’s needs and to present just enough of a challenge to encourage learning.

Level 1: 0-3.5 Months

Level 2: 4-6.5 Months

Level 3: 7-10.5 Months

Level 4: 11-13.5 Months

Level 5: 14-17.5 Months

Level 6: 18-22.5 Months

Level 7: 23-28 Months

Level 8: 29-36 Months

How Monti Kids Works

Every 3 months you will receive the next level to your door step. Inside of the box you will receive all of the new materials as well as guides for parents including short videos and articles on how to introduce and use the materials with your baby. You will also receive free access to online classes if you wish to further educate yourself. Each level costs $297 and you can cancel at anytime. The materials are designed and created by internationally certified Montessori educators and are used in Infant/Toddler classrooms around the world. The attention to detail and quality are obvious. The toys and materials are made out of sustainably forested wood, non-toxic paint and meet or exceed US-safety standards for babies 0-3 years old.

I personally love the simplicity and beauty of the Monti Kids toys. It is so incredible knowing that I am giving my children age appropriate toys that are growing their minds and wonder for learning. I highly recommend Monti Kids to anybody who wishes to have the Montessori method delivered to their door!
